Lokniti Kendra
Lokniti Kendra, established in 2014 as an initiative of Pragya,
works to strengthen democratic values through ideas,
dialogue, and informed participation. The Centre provides a dynamic platform for
engagement on public policy,
governance, and national development.
Inaugurated on 5 March 2014 by eminent constitutional scholar Shri Subhash Kashyap,
Lokniti Kendra began with a dialogue
on the role of political parties in a democracy, featuring leading voices such as Shri
N. K. Singh, General Secretary of
the News Broadcasters Editors’ Association (NBEA).
The Centre brings together policymakers, scholars, journalists, and practitioners to
deliberate on issues shaping the
nation’s future. Key discussions have focused on the role of Ekal Abhiyan in education,
farmers’ concerns, and land
acquisition. These dialogues are documented and published to extend their reach and
impact.
Lokniti Kendra also promotes critical inquiry through publications such as “Bharatiya
Itihas Drishti” by senior
journalist Shri Banwari Ji, which examines inconsistencies in historical writing.
Through research, dialogue, and publications, Lokniti Kendra continues to encourage
informed citizenship and responsible
leadership, contributing to a stronger and more vibrant democracy.
